A drawing with numbers typed onto it is not a measured drawing. In Archi4D every area is computed from the room geometry, the overall dimension line is derived from the wall extents, and the checks read the same data. Move a wall and every number moves with it.

Where the numbers come from
Rooms are rectangles on a normalised grid. The envelope is scaled so the indoor rooms sum to your requested floor area, with outdoor space — courtyards, decks — inside the envelope but outside gross floor area, the way an architect would schedule them. Every area on the drawing is that arithmetic, rounded to a tenth of a square metre.
No spreadsheet drift
The classic failure is a schedule in Excel that stopped matching the drawing three revisions ago. There is no second source of truth here: the schedule is a view of the geometry.

Set your units once in preferences and every area, dimension, and export follows — square metres and millimetres, or square feet and inches.
